Every month, VOSD supports hundreds of dogs with structured, ongoing medical care, and that requires a well-planned, data-driven medicine inventory. Based on our current care load:

The requirement is based on real data from dogs currently under care, including active treatments, chronic illness cases, recovery plans, and a buffer for emergency rescues.
Can I sponsor a specific medicine from the list?
Yes, you can choose any medicine from the monthly requirement list and sponsor it fully or partially depending on your preference.
What if I can’t sponsor an entire medicine item?
You can contribute any amount. Donations are pooled together to ensure all required medicines are procured without delay.
Do you accept physical medicine donations?
Yes, but only if the medicines are unexpired, properly sealed, and verified by the VOSD team to ensure safety and usability.
Why is the monthly budget so high?
Many dogs at VOSD require long-term or lifelong treatment. This includes senior dogs, paralyzed animals, and those recovering from severe trauma or illness, which significantly increases medical costs.
Does VOSD get medicines at discounted rates?
Yes, wherever possible medicines are procured in bulk or through partnerships to optimize costs, but the scale of care still requires substantial funding.
What happens if a particular medicine gets fully funded?
If a specific item is fully funded, additional contributions are redirected to other urgent medicines or emergency medical needs.
Are these medicines specifically for dogs?
Some medicines are veterinary-specific, while others are commonly used human medicines prescribed safely under veterinary supervision.
What is the most urgent need right now?
Medicines are always a critical need at VOSD. At any given time, there are dogs undergoing treatment who depend on uninterrupted access to life-saving medication.
