VOSD operates through a carefully designed corporate and governance framework that separates philanthropy, medical commerce, and marketplace infrastructure, while aligning all activity around canine welfare.
VOSD is an integrated canine welfare & veterinary infrastructure built for India and designed for national scale. VOSD is India’s largest and most advanced canine institution operating at the intersection of veterinary medicine, technology, public health, and enterprise infrastructure. VOSD is a structured social enterprise, unlike any NGO, veterinary chain, or pharma manufacturer, because it is built as a fully integrated ecosystem.
VOSD exists to solve a uniquely Indian challenge at national scale: delivering lifetime, accountable care to street and abandoned dogs while building financially sustainable, high-quality veterinary infrastructure for companion animals. VOSD does this through a unique vertically integrated model, one that combines philanthropy, medical science, operations architecture, and technology.
At the core of VOSD is a simple but demanding principle: Every dog matters. Every case deserves accountability. Every life deserves dignity. Unlike episodic rescue by NGOs or treatment by vet hospitals, VOSD is structured around lifetime responsibility.
VOSD is not an emotional act. It is an operational system for India’s dogs.
The VOSD Sanctuary is a monumental, purpose-built campus spanning 7 acres, designed with a current capacity of 2,000 dogs and room for expansion to accommodate an additional 1,000. It typically handles approximately 400 dog intakes per year and features over 250 enclosures that cover 150,000 sq ft of cemented floor area over 2 floors. The facility employs cohort-based segregation, with areas for social/open groups, behavioral care groups, and medical segregation units, as well as individual enclosures ranging from single kennels of 105 sq ft to large 1,200 sq ft spaces. The entire sanctuary provides residential facilities for its staff, ensuring continuous, round-the-clock monitoring of the dogs.
VOSD Sanctuary is staffed by 75+ dedicated staff (as of Jan 2026), organized into four tiers for maximum accountability and efficiency. Tier 1, comprising about 40 Primary Caregivers, handles essential daily operations, such as feeding, cleaning, observation, and first-line response. Tier 2, with around 20 Specialized Handlers, focuses on behavioral rehabilitation and managing high-risk dogs. Tier 3 comprises about 10 Paravets who provide medical assistance, wound management, and drug administration. Finally, Tier 4, with 2 members of Veterinary Oversight, provides case strategy, complex medical supervision, and protocol development. This structured approach allows VOSD to manage one of the world’s highest densities of long-term resident dogs with exceptional accountability.
The VOSD Veterinary practice extends structured care through the VOSD Referral Hospital (rural Bangalore) and VOSD IPD (Indiranagar, Bangalore) specialized Residency Programs. These high-dependency programs include the Hepatic Intensive Support Residency™, GI Stabilization Residency™, LeptoCare Isolation Residency™, DKA Controlled Insulin Residency™, and Toxicology Stabilization Residency™. Each residency ensures 24×7 monitoring, CCTV transparency, daily veterinary updates, and structured discharge documentation. This advanced architecture firmly positions VOSD Advance PetCare™ as a referral-level structured care system, moving beyond the transactional clinic model.
VOSD CloudVet™ represents the next layer of national infrastructure. It is a scalable, asset-light extension of VOSD’s institutional knowledge, combining AI-assisted triage for self-service by pet parents and rescuers with a vast knowledge base, including case knowledge from over 650,000+ treatments (Jan 2026) and actual case records from 10,000+ referral cases (Jan 2026), with omnichannel access via WhatsApp, email, web chat, and a web portal.
VOSD CloudVet™ is specifically designed to reduce delays in early diagnosis, support pet parents & dog rescuers nationwide, provide essential guidance to small-town veterinarians, and build a structured national case-intelligence system.
The Indian companion animal sector is entering a growth phase, but its institutional backbone remains underdeveloped. VOSD is uniquely positioned to address this gap, aiming to become a national veterinary quality benchmark, a key public health collaborator, a scalable AI-driven medical network, a vertically integrated canine infrastructure platform, and a global case study for rescue-linked enterprise. Few institutions successfully combine sanctuary scale, clinical depth, technology integration, marketplace infrastructure, and mission durability; VOSD stands out for doing so.
Corporations and investors can engage with VOSD through multiple pathways, including CSR partnerships, infrastructure sponsorship, institutional endowments, expansion capital, technology collaborations, data research partnerships, supply chain ecosystem building, and AI-health investments. Each engagement can be structured through either the VOSD Trust (Non-Profit) or the VOSD Corporate arm (For-Profit), depending on compliance and financial architecture requirements.
The dog on the street is at the center of everything VOSD builds – rescue, medicine, technology, infrastructure, and products.
Expertise spanning rescue, veterinary medicine, technology and canine welfare infrastructure.
Not an NGO, hospital chain or startup - a system-driven institution built for India.
Turning human apathy toward street dogs into scalable infrastructure built around empathy and care.
A scalable, sustainable institution delivering integrated care for dogs, designed to last.

His philosophy is deeply operational, which he summarises as LOVE IS A VERB (not a noun). He believes: Compassion without systems fails. Systems without compassion become transactional. VOSD needs to build both simultaneously.
He lives at the sanctuary and personally oversees infrastructure, expansion, and the development of medical protocols. His life is not adjacent to dogs. It is organized around them.
