- 100,000+ sq ft of constructed area on a plot of more than 3.5 acres- with 10,000 sq ft on the First floor

- A current capacity for 1500 dogs- with a plan to increase to 2500 dogs over a newly acquired 2 acres plot.
- India’s largest referral hospital consisting of 60 kennels.
- 30 Quarantine kennels

VOSD Innovation
With over a decade of leadership and innovation, VOSD has spearheaded transformative initiatives in the realm of animal welfare.
- World’s first AI (2024) specific for dogs with over 1000 advance treatments, over 1000 specific drug and diagnostics and 3000+ vets and vet hospitals for 24×7 help for dogs
- World’s first remote medicine (2018) service for dogs – includes reading diagnostics remotely and recommending specific treatment
- India’s first Hospice for old dogs (2017) available for any referred old stray dog
- World’s first custom CRM for rescue and treatment (2011) that tracks dogs, vehicles, and personnel through all stages from pickup > admittance > diagnostics > individual treatment > discharge/release. This custom CRM also cross-referenced and tagged GPS locations, time, and individual procedure data to create detailed reports. It also provided near real-time updates of each treatment to the dog’s reporter via app, SMS and email.

VOSD Mobility and Reach
Innovation in mobility and reach has revolutionized VOSD’s ability to extend care and support to animals in diverse locations, facilitating a means to bring dogs from all across the country to our sanctuary.
Our fleet currently consists of :
- 3 Mobile Clinics including- 1 Tata Winger and 2 mini buses (Bangalore and outstation)
- 2 mobile OTs in 2 Tata Wingers (Bangalore)
- 3 Ambulances for dogs (Maruti Eeco’s)
- 2 Transports (1 pickup, 1 Tata Ace)
VOSD Support to dogs across India
- 2012-2020- We adopted over 500 dogs from NGOs across India that could not be housed or rehomed.
- 2013-VOSD built a kitchen for a Maruthi shelter, Bangalore.
- 2013- VOSD distributed over 15 computers to various NGOs across India.
- 2014 -VOSD gifted 2 ambulances for Bangalore NGOs.
- 2015- VOSD built a kitchen and housing for St Bernando’s shelter in Gurugram
- VOSD Grants: From 2020,onwards each FY 35-40 lacs is budgeted for rescues and paid to other NGOs on a case basis.
- During the National COVID lockdown, VOSD fed 10,000 dogs per day for 2 months through funding from 30 agencies.
- During the 2020 Covid19 1st wave- VOSD announced acceptance of abandoned dogs from across India.
- 2020- VOSD Granted program for small NGOs / individuals with no outreach and have committed a total fund of ₹ 21,02,852.
- During the 2021 Covid19 2nd wave- VOSD announced acceptance of dogs across India whose owners have passed.
