The VOSD Sanctuary & Hospital is home to dogs who can’t survive on the streets, live in abusive homes or suffer from behavioural issues. Canines from multiple cities across India to us each month because NO ONE else could or would provide them with the care they need. This September as many as 29 canines came to live with us.
Most of them have suffered horrendous brutalities at the hands of humans, including:
– Kept in chains & abused
– Beaten to pulp
– Run over by vehicles & left paralysed
– Abandoned by their own families
– Rendered hopeless due to age & disabilities
– On death row because they were deemed too aggressive
– Neglected by own family for years
Luckily, some victims of these atrocities were rescued and found a way to the safety of our sanctuary. Now, we could really use your support to help secure happy and healthy lives for our new dogs. Please consider a gift of INR 5,000 (~$61) to help cover the expenses for the month of October.
