4 DOGS RESCUED BY VOSD PUNE NEED YOUR HELP TO REACH OUR SANCTUARY IN BENGALURU!
https://vosd.in/pune-rescues/

4 dogs who were once sick, injured, or abandoned are all happy and healthy now but no one is coming forward to adopt them. Reason – they are all mixed-breed dogs and not ‘pure’ breed. Where will these beautiful dogs go now? They can’t be left on the streets. All of them were rescued by the VOSD Pune team. Helps us bring them home to the VOSD Sanctuary in Bengaluru. Contribute to their medical checks, vaccinations, and transport cost and be their hero today. https://vosd.in/pune-rescues/

SPARK: His family had a newborn baby and abandoned poor Spark. This happens with many pet dogs. When a new baby arrives the first one to get booted out is the family dog. We don’t understand how can people be so cruel! He was rescued by the VOSD Pune team. Spark is a mixed breed Labrador and hence people don’t want to adopt him. Most people want only ‘purebred’ Labradors. He is currently in a boarding facility but will be transported to the VOSD Sanctuary & Hospital in Bengaluru for lifelong care.

GUDIYA: She is a mixed Indian breed female dog who was found abandoned on the street of Pune. Vermillion marks on her forehead, a red sacred thread, and flowers around her collar indicated that she was perhaps used in some religious rituals, after which she was deserted. The poor girl would howl day and night, terrified and confused. The VOSD Pune was informed about her, so we took her for a medical check-up and then sterilisation. We also tried getting her adopted but then noticed that she was very aggressive with women, perhaps due to the religious rituals or cruelty inflicted upon her by some ladies. This made it difficult to find her a home, nor could she be left on the streets as people began hitting her with stones and sticks. Gudiya’s only shot at a decent life is in the VOSD Sanctuary.

MARLEY: This tiny puppy got separated from his litter when he was barely two months old after some children relocated him far away from his family. The poor soul was all alone with no hope of survival. Unfortunately, he also met with an accident, and his hind leg was hurt badly. To make things worse, he also developed a skin infection. VOSD Pune rescued him from the streets and gave him the best medical care. After his recovery, we made multiple attempts to get him adopted but no one wanted a mixed Indian breed pup. His only hope now is coming to his forever home at VOSD Sanctuary & Hospital.

CHOTU: A young stray dog in Pune was being cared for by a community dog feeder. Over time, it was noticed that the dog suddenly developed vision issues, probably due to a genetic factor or an accident. The partial blindness led to Chotu repeatedly met with road accidents. A recent incident left him with a permanent limp in one of the hind legs, so the VOSD Pune team decided to take him off the streets and into our care. The safest place for this sweet dog to continue living in is our sanctuary, where he will be dearly loved.

Gudiya, Spark, Chotu, and Marley are young dogs who are full of life and have so much to look forward to in the coming years. Since they can’t permanently be kept in a boarding facility, we need your help bringing them to the VOSD Sanctuary & Hospital in Bengaluru. The estimated cost for their medical checks, vaccinations, and transport is INR 70,000 (~USD 930).
