One accident can change the life of a stray dog. These roads belong as much to them as they do to humans, however, they are a nightmare rather than a safe place for survival.
Take Shatabdi for instance – she was run over by a truck causing her pelvic area to get fractured and twisted. Another dog who was left completely blind and with permanent neurological damage is Rakhi, who was run over by a vehicle when she was a tiny puppy. It’s a miracle these pooches even survived such horrific accidents! Thankfully, they found hope of a dignified life and the right medical care at VOSD, where they will stay for the remainder of their time.
