My name is Julie, and I was recently sent to the VOSD Sanctuary & Hospital. A year ago, a family of labourers adopted me from the streets and gave me a decent and happy life. However, the landlady of the property would constantly harass me. She would BEAT ME and THROW STONES at me despite having a pet dog herself! Because we were poor?
Over time, she began harassing my family so much that they were forced to abandon me far away. A kind man who had witnessed this cruelty came in search of me and took me back to my family. However, fearing further abuse from the cruel landlady, they couldn’t keep me. The man tried finding me another home but no one wanted a mixed breed Indian pup.
Since I had no home or the hope of a happy life on the streets, he surrendered me to VOSD. I think it’s the best decision ever because this is such a happy place! I am thrilled that all the hoomans and doggos here are so loving and affectionate. If I look at them with my gorgeous puppy eyes, these hoomans immediately go ‘awwww’ and feed me yummy treats! There’s nowhere else in the world I’d rather be, than in the safety and harmony of the VOSD Sanctuary & Hospital.
I learnt that I’m not the only abused and abandoned dog who was rehabilitated by VOSD – there are hundreds of other doggos here who need your help.
