My name is Punehri and I came to the VOSD Sanctuary & Hospital back in 2016. I’m missing a paw because when I was just a puppy, some cruel humans tightly tied a metal wire around it as a part of a witchcraft ritual. As a result, my leg got cut off and the wound was septic. The cruel people believed that when my foot falls off, the troubles in their lives will disappear! For their barbaric & selfish beliefs, they tortured me.
Thankfully, a kind lady rescued me just in time and got me all the treatment and care I needed. But since I was in danger of cruelty again if left on the streets, and nobody wanted to adopt a three-legged Indian stray dog, I was surrendered to VOSD. Read my story here: https://bit.ly/3Cr0c2c.
It’s been over six years since I came to this wonderful sanctuary, and my life has been full of happiness and peace thanks to my awesome gang of friends. We’re also surrounded by caregivers who constantly shower us with love – proving that good people who truly care for us pooches exist in this world.
