All it takes is one act for a dog to be deemed “aggressive and dangerous” – that’s what occurred in Max’s case. He was happy-go-lucky community dog but one family’s hatred caused him to earn the horrid reputation of an unpredictable biter.
For years, Max tolerated that family ill-treating him; they would beat him for no rhyme or reason, pelt stones, and the children would throw footballs at him. They learnt from their parents that it is OKAY to harm a stray dog. Notwithstanding the pain anymore, Max unfortunately hurt one of the children. Though it was a minor injury, the family raised hell and swore that they would end the dog’s life by hook or crook.
Fortunately, his caretakers intervened and surrendered Max to VOSD fearing for his safety. But isn’t it heart-breaking that for no fault of his, he was slapped with the “aggressive dog” label? If you want to know what this dog with supposed behavioural issues is really like, then watch this video! His only problem is the fact the he loves too much – this blind trust he places in people is what made him a victim of cruelty and abuse for years.
Max’s life turned 180 degrees in a month of reaching the VOSD Sanctuary & Hospital: https://bit.ly/3thFpwa
No dog is born aggressive; if provoked and harmed repeatedly they will stand up for themselves. Wouldn’t we do the same? VOSD has for years admitted such misunderstood dogs and given them the second chance of leading healthy and happy lives at our sanctuary. Help us be a safe haven for many more such cruelty survivors incorrectly labelled as aggressive, by donating for their monthly upkeep: www.vosd.in/active-campaigns/monthly-expenses/
