VOSD+SAW Rescue brings together an expert team and 2 ambulances to rescue and rehabilitate stray dogs in Pune. We are collaborating with SAW and other NGOs in Pune city to save the lives of stray dogs who have met with accidents or are ill.
One such stray dog, Mariya, was anaemic and wasn’t even able to stand properly. Our team was informed about her condition and we rushed to the location promptly and rescued her. She was admitted to Animal Rescue Trust NGO, Pune.
After conducting several blood tests, doctors concluded that Mariya had been suffering from tick paralysis. Soon, she was moved to a paid foster shelter where she got plenty of rest, nutritious meals and relevant medication. When the gentle dog recovered completely, she was released back to her rescuers.
