3-legged BLIND stray dog comes home to VOSD

NEW DOG AT VOSD – THREE-LEGGED BLIND DOG COMES TO VOSD FOR LIFELONG CARE

Buzo is an adorable dog with a host of medical conditions. He is a single amputee, blind in one eye with extremely compromised vision in the other. He also had an open wound on his thigh when he was rescued by the Sinhgadh Animal Welfare (SAW) Charitable Trust, Team in Pune. In all likelihood, his disability made him a soft target for the aggression of territorial dogs.

The SAW Team looked after the boy till his wounds healed a little bit and began looking for a forever home for him; as there was no way a docile, three-legged blind dog could be left to fend for himself on the streets. So, they approached VOSD, and we were happy to take Buzo in under the blind stray dog surrender category.

At VOSD, Buzo’s thigh injury is cleaned regularly; and like the good boy that he is, Buzo is very patient during the wound dressing. For his affability, Buzo is rewarded with treats and chewsticks. He loves the chewstick, which keeps him entertained for hours together. During the day, when it gets too hot, Buzo likes to splash around in some water to cool off.

The dear dog loves being around humans and is always looking for scratchies and cuddles. He is still very scared of dogs though, but we are hopeful he will regain his confidence and find a way to relate with his kind positively.

In any event, he perfectly safe, happy and well-looked after at his new home where he will stay lifelong.

A blind, three-legged dog found a loving forever family at VOSD. Help us provide dignified lives to more vulnerable and marginalized dogs like Buzo.
