A kind gentleman saw a beautiful dog on the street on his way home from work. With her white clean fur Juhi looked quite out of place on the dusty road; moreover, she was walking aimlessly and seemed completely lost. Nobody in the vicinity had ever seen her before, so the kind gentleman took Juhi home with the hope that her owners would be found.
Juhi was very relieved to be safe and warm inside the house; she was evidently not a street dog. In the days to come, the family shared numerous posts on multiple platforms to find Juhi’s folks but no one came to claim her. The several adoption appeals that were made subsequently also met the same fate. Juhi had no home and she couldn’t be left on the streets as she was not accustomed to the perilous life.
So, the bright-eyed Juhi was admitted to VOSD for lifelong care. All dogs have their predilections and Juhi also preferred the company of other dogs and kept away from humans in the beginning. But by and by, she has started trusting people also.
Since Juhi has thick fur, she is regularly checked for ticks and fleas. She relishes her healthy meals and has grown to be very fond of her new abode. The playful, curious dog loves to observe the bustling life at the sanctuary. She gets very happy at the sight of her favorite humans and wags her curly tail to express delight.
Juhi became homeless after she was callously rejected by her original family. But the adorable dog has finally found acceptance and a home for life, where she can manifest her full potential as an exuberant dog and have an enriching life experience.
Hundreds of dogs get rudely discarded on the streets where they die contending with forces stronger than themselves. Help us bring more abandoned dogs like Juhi to the safety of VOSD by donating INR 5,000 (~$61) one-time or monthly: https://vosd.in/active-campaigns/monthly-expenses/
