Abandoned pet dog faced terrible cruelty but finally rescued and safe at VOSD

DOGS OF VOSD: TYSON, AN ABANDONED PET DOG WHO FACED EXTREME CRUELTY FROM DOG-HATING NEIGHBOURS, FINDS A SAFE FOREVER HOME AT VOSD.

Hello hoomans, I’m Tyson and my friends call me Taichu.

I was born on the streets and a family of construction workers in Bengaluru, decided I was their child too and adopted me. We ate, slept, and played together and I was the happiest pooch ever! But my world turned upside down when my family decided to move, leaving me back on the streets after nearly two years of raising me.

The first few days were really difficult – I didn’t know how to find food and water or keep myself safe. But thankfully the neighbours who had seen me since I was a pup stepped in and began caring for me every day. This made me believe that all people are nice but I couldn’t be more wrong.

A few residents were dead against me living on their street. They first began pelting stones trying to chase me away but when that didn’t work, they purposely hit me with a car. I stayed strong even through that, but then I was taken to a strange locality and dumped there by these dog haters. The few humans who cared for me managed to find and bring me back but knew my life was at risk. Who knows what these people will stoop to next, they might poison you, said my kind caretakers. So keeping my safety in mind, they surrendered me to this wonderland called VOSD!

I thrive in the company of both dogs and people alike, and I love making new friends. So this big green grassy place was like paradise to me. My caregivers are so friendly that I can’t believe it. They take me for walks, play with me in the doggie park, feed me delicious food, and at times treats too. I couldn’t have asked for a better life, after the abandonment, suffering and abuse I underwent on the streets.

Did you know that hundreds of other helpless abandoned pet dogs like me also live at VOSD? Many of them were slashed with knives, blinded, run over, chained or caged for years, burnt with acid, and severely tortured? Yet, we all lead our days in good health and happiness thanks to the amazing VOSD team who work tirelessly for the welfare of dogs with no hope of surviving on the streets.

Please help VOSD care for us by donating INR 5,000 (~$68) one-time or monthly for our food & medical expenses: https://vosd.in/active-campaigns/monthly-expenses

Until I see you again,
Love, Tyson 🙂 XOXO
