When Winnie came to us after suffering & recovering from multiple injuries and paralysis, we thought the worst was behind her. Read her story here: https://bit.ly/3aNQ23j. Yet just weeks after her arrival we were puzzled as to why she was consistently losing weight and her appetite was poor. She also began developing a skin infection that left her in great discomfort. We conducted the following tests for which a detailed treatment plan was chalked out by a vet & our medical team:
1. A skin scraping confirmed she suffered from demodicosis – we began with a short course of oral medication and application of VOSD’s 6-in-1 Dog Body Lotion
2. An abdomen scan revealed she had pancreatitis, inflamed bowels and an abscess on her spleen so she was prescribed month-long medication and a low fat diet
3. We got her blood test done – her haemoglobin & platelet count were low, she is on appropriate medication for that too.
We’re glad to say that she has responded phenomenally well to the treatment! Her fur is growing back, she has put on weight, and has transformed into an energetic, beautiful, and happy dog.
