VOSD+SAW Rescue brings together an expert team and 2 ambulances to rescue and rehabilitate stray dogs in Pune. We are collaborating with SAW and other NGOs in Pune city to save the lives of stray dogs who have met with accidents or are ill.
One such stray dog had been lying in a state of paralysis, near a construction site, for more than ten days. Both his hind legs were paralyzed and he was barely able to drag himself. Luckily, a construction worker noticed his plight and informed us; our team promptly reached the location and rescued the dog immediately.
The dog was admitted to Animal Rescue Trust NGO, Pune. The vets concluded physiotherapy would help the case, so regular sessions commenced. Additionally, the dog was also fed timely nutritious meals and afforded lots of rest. With daily physiotherapy and regular meals and medicines, the dear friendly dog was able to make full recovery.
He was recently dropped off to his homestreet where his caretakers were very happy to see him and promised to feed him a protein-rich diet.
