Four dogs were rescued from the streets of Pune after being found either injured or abandoned.
? Spark had been thrown out by his family upon the birth of a new-born baby. After being rescued, many attempts were made to get him adopted but to no avail since people only wanted a ‘pedigree’ Labrador, not a cross breed like him.
?Poor old Chotu developed partial blindness with age, leaving him fumbling about on the streets. He met with multiple road accidents and couldn’t continue to survive on his own.
?Maisel was picked up by the VOSD Pune team for sterelisation, when they discovered she was really ill due to a heart condition. After she was treated she couldn’t be returned to the streets as she needs lifelong medical care.
?As for Marley, the tiny pup was separated from his litter by a few children who relocated him far away. He met with a terrible accident that left him injured, and he developed a skin infection. After being treated we thought he would find a loving home, but Marley had no takers since he was mixed breed Indian dog.
We made multiple appeals on social media over the past few months to raise funds for the boarding and treatment of these precious dogs. Our prayers were met, and we also raised the amount required to also transport them to their forever home in the VOSD Sanctuary & Hospital! Chotu, Marley, Maisel, and Spark had lost hope that they will ever feel love again. But thanks to YOUR kindness, these dogs’ safety and future are secured. They will henceforth only know affection, care, compassion and happiness! ?
