Broken limbs, brain damage, rescued on the verge of death… Every dog that is admitted to VOSD has suffered a traumatic past. However, under our care, they forget their pain, sorrow, or disabilities and live like happy, normal dogs.
Every day, we notice our babies engrossed in their play sessions. A little rough and tumble never hurt anyone! For them it is all about who can win the play fight, who runs faster than the other, who wins a game of wrestling or which naughty baby can outsmart the others!
Some of these pooches had broken limbs due to road accidents, some suffer brain damage, while others have only one eye, or are completely blind. These dogs would’ve otherwise led miserable lives on the streets and might not have even been alive today. At the VOSD Sanctuary & Hospital, not only do they get a second chance at having a good life, but they make the most of it by enjoying every day! We strongly believe that every special needs dog needs to be given a fair shot, and not be subject to discrimination or worse mercy killing because they’re “different”.
