Stray dog becomes injured in accident and then gets abandoned in a vet hospital by a rescuer.

VOSD PUNE RESCUE: TANDOORI, A STRAY DOG WHO GOT BADLY INJURED IN A ROAD ACCIDENT AND THEN ABANDONED AT A VET HOSPITAL!

The life of stray dogs is really terrible. They face daily abuse from people, cruelty, starvation, diseases, and the danger of road accidents. Tandoori is such a stray dog who was somehow surviving on the streets with the help of food and care from some dog lovers. Then suddenly his life turned upside down when he met with a terrible accident and both his hind legs were badly torn. The poor boy lost a lot of blood too in this accident. One kind person immediately picked him up and got him admitted to a Vet Hospital after paying a small deposit. Sadly this person then became incommunicado with the hospital abandoning Tandoori to his fate.

Based on his behavior and overall temperament the doctors feel that he was probably a pet dog who was abandoned on the streets. 🙁

A doctor from the hospital contacted the VOSD Pune team asking if we could take over the medical care of the dog as he would need a prolonged hospitalization and care for his wounds. Since it is very expensive to keep a dog admitted to a private hospital, our team contacted our partner NGO in Pune, Karma Foundation who agreed to admit Tandoori.

As per the doctors at the Karma Foundation, Tandoori suffered from massive lacerated injuries on both his hind limbs. His tibial bone was exposed and jutting out of his muscles. His hock joint was severely infected which turned into an abscess. Due to joint injuries, he was unable to place his limb down. It was extremely painful when touched. They started Tandoori on a combination drug therapy to fight severe sepsis. Even though he was under so much pain and discomfort, not once did he snap or bare his teeth at the team taking care of him at Karma. He used to sit on the treatment table like an absolute darling!

We are extremely touched by the love and medical care given to Tandoori at the Karma Foundation. Please do visit their Facebook page to support them!

Tandoori was released back to his location once he was certified fit for release by the doctors. His caretakers are happy to see him back. We wish a safe and kind life for Tandoori on the streets. Please keep him in your prayers and thoughts.

Let’s spread compassion and love. The world needs it now more than ever for both humans and animals.
