How common it is for drivers to ignorantly rash drive without thinking what their negligence can cost to others! In one such tragic incident, a tiny puppy was run over by a vehicle that put him in a state of coma. He also couldn’t breathe properly due to the severe impact on the chest. Not only that, his jaw was completely dislocated!
We would like to thank Karma Foundation for being so relentless in trying to save the poor baby. And their efforts did pay off – the boy survived. Fighter, as he was called thereafter, had to live with a permanent brain damage that suppressed his mental growth.
Being a special needs dog, no one came forward to adopt him. And no way, he could have survived on the streets. With no hope of finding a home, Fighter was surrendered to VOSD under the “Rescuer Surrender” Category.
His ocular and hearing centers are damaged up to 80% hence he has limited vision and hearing. Due to the trauma on his head, he’s become like a puppy in a big dog’s body – hence needed huge open spaces to channelize his energy. And that’s exactly we provided to him at the VOSD Sanctuary and Hospital. He plays all day long and on getting tired, just becomes a cuddle-bug with his caregivers. Fighter’s puppy face begging for treats makes us go “awwww” all the time!
