On almost every street in India you can find an elderly homeless dog suffering, neither being able to live nor die in peace. They are often crippled with health issues, blindness, bone & joint problems and so on, which go untreated. Instead of lying in anguish on the roads, do such senior, infirm stray dogs have an old age home they can go to for end-of-life care?
Yes! The VOSD Hospice is specially designed to provide geriatric care for elderly and ailing stray dogs who do not have a home or access to medical care. We admit pooches from across India without a surrender fee because we are their last resort at a dignified life and death.
All senior dogs under our care are given comfortable accommodation, nutritious and easily palatable diets, world-class medical care, and most importantly someone to spend time with them and say a few kind words.
We urge our patrons and dog lovers across the world to open their hearts and support the upkeep of hundreds of such senior stray dogs living at our sanctuary.
