When VOSD’s founder Rakesh Shukla says, “VOSD provides the best care for India’s dogs,” it stems from a decade of implementing and refining processes to fulfil this mission. We rescue, sterilise, and care for 1,000+ special needs stray dogs and abandoned pet dogs every year from 50+ cities across India. Nearly 300 of these dogs are on critical daily care without which they will not survive.
At the VOSD Sanctuary & Hospital, each of our wards is provided with:
• Specialised nutritious meals
• Advanced infrastructure including a full-fledged hospital and surgery ward
• Medical treatments and emergency medical response
• 24×7 kennel management and hygienic accommodation
• Round-the-clock medical and housekeeping staff
With no government funding, VOSD is largely dependent on donations from compassionate animal lovers and organisations so we can continue to grow and build – an effort we must take to save thousands of other dogs who continue living without a home or hope.
