An old, abandoned pet dog got open pyometra and needed emergency surgery. Rescued at the right time.

VOSD PUNE RESCUE: PARI, AN ABANDONED PET DOG WHO GOT A LIFE-THREATENING DISEASE RESCUED AND SAFE NOW.

It is so heartbreaking when people abandon their old pet dogs as they do not wish to take responsibility for their old age-related diseases. Such dogs after having lived for 8-10 years in a house are incapable of surviving on the streets. Some abandoned pet dogs somehow manage to survive on the streets if they find some kind soul who feeds them and helps with basic medical care.

Imagine the fear and helplessness an old pet dog would go through if left alone on the streets. Not being able to find food or water or a place to rest. We have no words to describe the anger we feel for people who abandon their pets.

Pari is one such baby. She was abandoned on the streets. She was lucky to find a student who started giving her food and pretty much made her feel comfortable on a street corner. One day the student found Pari motionless and unable to get up. She tried to seek help but couldn’t get any. So she searched online and found our website and wrote to our helpdesk id info@vosd.in

We informed our VOSD Pune team about this doggo. Pari was immediately moved to our partner NGO, Animal Rescue Trust (ART). The Vets there found that Pari suffered from Open Pyometra for which she needed emergency surgery. Her blood reports were stable to take her for surgery. It was a few tense hours of waiting to see how she did after the surgery. Thankfully Pari made a brilliant recovery. Our heartfelt thanks to the fantastic medical care and love given to Pari by the staff at the Animal Rescue Trust. She is alive and well, thanks to all of you at ART. Pari was released back to her location once she was certified fit for release by the doctors. Her caretaker was happy to see her back. We wish a safe and kind life for Pari on the streets. Please keep her in your prayers and thoughts.

Let’s spread compassion and love. The world needs it now more than ever for both humans and animals.
