Feni is a beautiful brindle-coated senior stray dog. After successfully navigating the street life for a good 12 years, age caught up with Feni and she developed several health issues. In the months leading up to her eventual admission to VOSD Sanctuary and Hospital, Feni developed a limp in one of her hind legs, an ear ailment and tick fever.
With medical intervention, Feni recovered from the tick fever, but the limp just wouldn’t go away. Additionally, she had grown very weak after fighting the debilitating fever. Given her fragile condition, it was deemed best to bring Feni to VOSD Hospice for end-of-life care.
Feni has been started on a weight-gaining diet, joint and liver supplements along with iron tablets. The wound on her hind leg, which causes the limp, is cleaned and treated regularly.
So, finally, after living a life of strife for 12 years, Feni finally has a home of her own and lives peacefully with her mates. She gets on well with other dogs but is terrified of human touch – very likely a sign of the poor treatment she received on the streets given her stray-dog status.
