Husna made her way into VOSD founder Rakesh Shukla’s life in 2013. This little black Indian stray puppy was hit by a bike — of course he didn’t stop or bother to care. She was spotted by a kind lady who noticed that she was entirely missing her upper jaw! She got Husna the medical treatment she needed and wrote to Rakesh knowing no one would adopt her or that she couldn’t survive on the streets. So the little black girl was on her way to the VOSD Sanctuary & Hospital, where she lives to date with her papa Rakesh.
Over the years, tiny grey hairs and a sense of calmness have replaced Husna’s jet-black coat and high energy. She prefers spending her days lounging about on the couch with her doggie friends, or following her father around. She has also been through an ordeal of health issues such as skin infections, chronic kidney disease, chest congestion, and more. However, she has fought past it all through advanced and professional veterinary care provided by VOSD.
